Paul Dailey is a Boston based Techno Producer, DJ and Music Journalist. Dailey has been DJing professionally since 1987,〔http://thephoenix.com/boston/music/46621-party-pros/ Party Pros - Boston Phoenix Newspaper〕 and has traveled extensively performing in more than 50 cities and 7 countries including top venues in Philadelphia, Toronto, Santo Domingo, Chicago, Montreal, Minneapolis, and London - as well as WMC (Winter Music Conference) in Miami, Forecastle Festival in Louisville and the Movement Festival/ DEMF in Detroit. Dailey performs regularly at Rise in Boston, Phoenix Landing in Cambridge, and Sullivan Room in New York City. He has played at some of the biggest parties and (festivals in North America ), alongside many of the best Techno DJs in the world including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Marco Bailey, Adam Beyer, Green Velvet and Chris Liebing (to name a few.) In the studio, Dailey has amassed an impressive discography of original EDM 〔According to Butler (2006:33) use of the term EDM "has become increasingly common among fans in recent years. During the 1980s, the most common catchall term for EDM was ''house music'', while ''techno'' became more prevalent during the first half of the 1990s. As EDM has become more diverse, however, these terms have come to refer to specific genres. Another word, ''electronica'', has been widely used in mainstream journalism since 1997, but most fans view this term with suspicion as a marketing label devised by the music industry".〕 releases, including EPs on labels from Germany, the Netherlands, Japan and the USA. Dailey also has many years of experience as a radio mix show DJ, having contributed DJ Mixes to shows all over the world. In addition, for more than 2 years, Dailey hosted the only coast to coast techno oriented mix show in North America - “Hardwired” on The Move on XM Satellite radio, and Dailey has an iTunes podcast that features mixes and interview with the biggest names in the world of techno. Stepping from behind the decks, Dailey has worked for more than 15 years as a freelance journalist (member of the (International Federation of Music Journalist )), contributing interviews, and reviews to numerous industry publications including ''DJ Times'' (worldwide), ''Kick Magazine'' (Toronto), ''Upfront UK'' (London) and (dancemusic.about.com ) (worldwide).
